The Solar Lite-Pak Generator 1 is powerful solar lighting generator in a simple convenient package. It consists of (1) solar panel (1) renewable energy power pack and (1) 60 watt equivalent white globe light. This is a professionally constructed, long lasting system that is simple, durable and reliable.

The system is designed to operate as a single light source for locations that do not have electricity. It was originally designed for Haiti. We designed the systems to be dependable and last for many years. That is why we used a long life heavy duty gelled-elctrolyte battery and oversized it so that it would have maximum life expectancy. If you use the light for 6 hours per night the battery should provide over 5 years of life (2000 cycles). It is small enough and light enough (35 lbs) to be easily transportable.

We have chosen to supply it with a 15 watt, nominal (10.4 watt measured) compact fluoresecent lamp, because it provides a brightness equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent lamp. This will provide substantial bright light for years and years. The lamp base is a common E26 (medium, Edison base) that will allow you to us any 12V lamp you want; as long as it has a medium base. We tried a nice little 2W LED bulb that we sell and it worked fine. It just wasn't the brightness we wanted.

** The unit is designed for reliability and longevity! If you connect additional loads to it, this will defeat the design parameters! Also, it will void any warranty and probably screw something up!

We are using the highest quality components to assure reliability. We use professional locking connectors that will stand up to thousands of insertions. Our switches are UL listed to provide a minimum of 6,000 -10,000 switching cycles (DC Electric). The solar controller has LED status lights that give a rough approximation of battery state of charge and a green light for solar status. It has a low voltage disconnect so that the battery cannot be overly discharged and damaged. And they are programmed not to exceed the high voltage limitations of the special solar battery.
